Ben Ganley


Ben has been Chief Executive at Souq Extra since March, 2014, and is in the advanced stages of a 5 year strategy to build a culture of ‘winning team behaviors’.

Ben served as Chief Executive at RAK Real Estate from 2008 to 2013, overseeing a USD988 Million company listing in London and was responsible for multiple private and PJSC development and investment companies controlled by the distinguished Al Khorafi family based in Kuwait.

Based in London, Ben served as Operations Director from 2006 to 2008 with boutique private equity firm TIC, responsible for UK residential real estate and infrastructure investment, and before leaving Australia in 2005, served as Project Director with the Lend Lease Communities business in the Northern Territory, where he delivered the master planned projects Fairway Waters and The Chase.

He was formerly a manager with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments and earlier in his career, an analyst in Corporate Insolvency at Deloitte.

Ben holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Charles Darwin University in Australia, and served as an alternate Board Member on the University’s Foundation.

Ben is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and Institute of Directors in London, the Australian Property Institute, Australian Marketing Institute, and the US-based Project Management Institute.



As the Chief Financial Officer, Esam’s primary focus is to expand Souq Extra’s portfolio while maximizing financial returns to investors, and bolstering Souq Extra’s financial position.

Esam brings a strong track record of private and public capital raising, and financial management experience. He leads all aspects of Souq Extra’s finance, audit, treasury, tax, capital markets and corporate development functions. Esam held finance leadership positions spanning over 15 years in the North American and UAE markets, and has completed over US$5Bn of real estate and capital markets transactions, including IPO and M&A mandates.

Before joining Souq Extra, Esam was the Head of Treasury for Dubai World Trade Centre and arranged award-winning funding to deliver premium commercial office and hospitality assets as part of an US$2.5Bn masterplan in downtown Dubai. Previously, Esam was with Dundee Realty Corporation, TD Securities and UBS Investment Bank in Toronto, Canada.

Esam graduated with an Honours Bachelor degree from Queen’s University, received an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University, and holds the CPA and CMA designations from Canada.

Sean Jordan

Development Director

Sean joined Souq Extra as Development Director in 2017, bringing with him over 23 years experience in project and development management.

During his 12-year tenure in the UAE, Sean has held senior roles with Meydan Sobha, Meraas, Aecom as Senior Resident Engineer for the UAE University – Package 3 [full infrastructure], and Aldar. Sean has delivered a vast portfolio of projects ranging from infrastructure and offshore island and bridge developments to luxury residential, retail, hospitality and mixed-use tower projects.

Before leaving Ireland, Sean held professional roles with Consulting Engineers, Public Service and Civil Engineering Contractors.

Sean has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Queens University Belfast, is a Chartered Member of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland and a Prince 2 Certified Practitioner from APMG International.
