10 Back to School Tips

Where has the summer gone? We are in ‘Back to School’ season already and counting down to the chaos of early mornings, the maddening traffic and dealing with post-holiday blues. 

Don’t let it get too intimidating. Remember a brand new school year is like starting off with a clean slate. Positivity is key, as is being organized.

We’ve got 10 tips to keep you sane and totally nail ‘Back to School’ like a pro: 

  1. Get new school supplies. Sure fancy stationery is big business, but new gear works as the perfect perk me up to start off a new term.
  2. Organize a planner. From extra curricular activities to homework and play-dates, a set calendar will help you achieve the balance effortlessly.
  3. Chill out. Remember to throw in some spontaneously fun activities into the routine. It will make easing out of the holiday blues a whole lot easier.
  4. Organize the school backpack. Invest in a backpack that has the right kind of compartments that suits your needs. 
  5. Is the uniform back from the laundry? Do you have spare sets ready? What about the sports kit?
  6. Prep for a healthy, wholesome breakfast the night before to save time during the morning rush.
  7. Get creative with the lunchbox. We love the creativity that can be found on Pinterest boards. 
  8. Stay hydrated. A good quality, BPA free water-bottle is a must.
  9. A full-on school day can make you peckish. Stock up on healthy post-school snacks like fruit and energy bars.
  10.  Declutter the study space at home. Organization is key, and ensure the space is neat, quiet and inviting.
