Dubai 30×30: Are You Up For The Challenge?

Have you signed up for the Dubai Fitness Challenge? Spearheaded by the government of Dubai, the month-long initiative targets to make this region the most active in the world. What a wonderful city we live in!

The ideology behind the campaign is to get active for atleast 30 minutes a day for the next 30 days. Every effort counts.

At Souq Extra, we’ve come up with 5 tips to add more calorie-burn to your daily drill:

  1. With the weather cooling down significantly, take the opportunity to park the car a block away and walk it.
  2. Shop at your local Souq Extra and carry the groceries by hand. The walk and weights are an easy win for your daily burn count.
  3. Invest in a high-quality pedometer like the FitBit for more motivation to get moving.
  4. At a desk job? Try to get up every hour. Stretch, walk to the water cooler, walk up to colleagues instead of emailing. Your office-body will thank you for it.
  5. Skip the lift and take the stairs. Build up your stamina for more flights through the month.
