Dubai 30×30: Are You Up For The Challenge?
Have you signed up for the Dubai Fitness Challenge? Spearheaded by the government of Dubai, the month-long initiative targets to make this region the most active in the world. What a wonderful city we live in!
The ideology behind the campaign is to get active for atleast 30 minutes a day for the next 30 days. Every effort counts.
At Souq Extra, we’ve come up with 5 tips to add more calorie-burn to your daily drill:
- With the weather cooling down significantly, take the opportunity to park the car a block away and walk it.
- Shop at your local Souq Extra and carry the groceries by hand. The walk and weights are an easy win for your daily burn count.
- Invest in a high-quality pedometer like the FitBit for more motivation to get moving.
- At a desk job? Try to get up every hour. Stretch, walk to the water cooler, walk up to colleagues instead of emailing. Your office-body will thank you for it.
- Skip the lift and take the stairs. Build up your stamina for more flights through the month.
