Souq Extra, Sunday 10th March 2019: It’s celebration time at the Souq Extra headquarters! We are pleased to announce that Souq Extra has bagged an award at the prestigious Islamic Finance News Awards Ceremony.
The Souq Extra Finance team has been working meticulously hard on the current Dubai Silicon Oasis Phase 2 project, and their hard work at achieving bank financing of AED50 Million has paid off. The project was awarded the title of “Most Innovative Deal of the Year” whilst competing against a highly competitive global peer set. Souq Extra’s business partners on the transaction included Hadef & Partners, Dubai Islamic Bank and Dar Al Sharia.
Since opening Phase 1 in January 2017, Souq Extra DSO has grown to be an important meeting place and retail destination for the local residents of Dubai Silicon Oasis. Carrefour and a targeted mix of international brands including McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut, Subway, Starbucks, Boots, Mothercare, Holland and Barrett and Mashreq Bank are currently trading in Phase 1, achieving high footfall and center GLA productivity.
The Phase 2 retail plan is strategically designed to extend guest duration in center, targeting leading medical center, gym, adventure play and nursery operators, along with family restaurants and essential community services. The new expansion also includes a bespoke, state of the art mosque that can accommodate up to 300 worshipers.
